Team Salomon

Oscar has just started his second year at AEIOU Toowoomba. This organisation has been life changing for him and our whole family. Overall he is a much happier little boy and he loves attending every day.

Before AEIOU it was very difficult to engage with Oscar and he didn’t know how to regulate his emotions. I used to describe him as the “unhappiest 2 year old I knew” as he experienced many meltdowns daily and he would not allow us to help him through them. Now the meltdowns have nearly completely disappeared, he is able to communicate verbally his needs and wants, he has learnt to play with toys (rather than condiment jars!!), he is learning to initiate play with his peers and staff and he is much better at separating from his parents.

There is still so much for him to learn and we are excited to see what he can achieve this year!
