Rhys started at AEIOU Sippy Downs at the beginning of 2021. In his time there, my beautiful boy has blossomed so much under the care of his Allied Health Team and Early Intervention Specialists. He has gone from being Non-verbal at age 3, to saying with increasing frequency 'Mummy No don't want it!' . That really is music to my ears🙂

I am SO grateful to AEIOU for the amazing work they do with our children. This year Rhys, his twin sister Chloe, and I, will dress in Pink & Blue to join other families and friends, to walk the 5km in Take a Hike Brisbane.

We are really proud to support AEIOU in the phenomenal work that they do. We would love for you to join us on this Sunday morning walk! We Made It!
I was so proud of my beautiful daughter, who put in an huge effort, walking the majority of the 5km. And cheering other walkers. Rhys absorbed the atmosphere well and had a grand time. It was great to cross the Finish line with my kids, having spent a lovely morning together in the sunshine, walking for an amazing cause. Thank you AEIOU. And thank you to all the wonderful Friends who supported us today!

Half Way Turnaround
It was a festive atmosphere with lots of cheers for the earlier 10km walkers, on their home stretch. Rhys handled the noisy crowd well, being chauffeured in the stroller. The Turnaround point was the Maritime Museum at Southbank

At the Start
The Start Zone was a colourful array of Pink and Blue. The playground was a big hit as Rhys warmed up on his favourite - the swing. Chloe got stuck in to the warm up exercises. Then it was Go!

The Big Day - Getting Ready
We woke early to Sunny Skies. A good omen. Rhys isn't usually fussed with being face painted, but today he requested 'Tiger Grrrrrrr!'
